These logs allow you to monitor the security of your locks. 2. Data We DO NOT Collect To protect your privacy, we explicitly state that we DO NOT collect: Precise or approximate Geolocation data. Contact lists or social media profiles. The serial number of your phone's internal NFC chip. We do not write any private data into your phone's Secure Element (SE). 3. Permissions Notice (NFC and Location) On certain versions of the Android operating system, enabling NFC communication may trigger a system-level request for Location Permissions. We hereby declare that this is a technical requirement of the OS for low-level hardware communication only. We do not access, store, or upload your location data. 4. Data Storage and Retention Cloud Storage: For the Online Version, your data is stored securely on Alibaba Cloud servers. We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transmission and at rest. Retention Period: Logs are retained permanently to provide you with a full history of device access. Data is deleted only when: You manually delete a specific device or clear the logs. You choose to delete your account. Standalone Version: For the Standalone (Offline) version of the App, all data is stored locally on your mobile device. We have no access to, nor do we store any copies of, your local data. 5. Global Privacy Compliance GDPR (EU): We respect your "Right to be Forgotten." You may exercise your right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data via the App at any time. CCPA (USA): We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Walk into most offices today and the filing cabinets look almost exactly like they did in 1975. Same drawers, same flimsy tubular locks, same drawer full of mismatched keys nobody can identify. The furniture industry kept building cabinets. For the office segment, the lock industry never really caught up. What changed is everything around the cabinet — the people who use it, the documents inside it, and the rules governing how those documents must be protected. A modern office runs on staff turnover, hybrid schedules, and privacy regulations that did not exist a generation ago. The 1975 lock is no longer fit for that world. The fix is not a better key. When an authorized smartphone is tapped against the lock, the phone's NFC field provides the power needed to verify credentials and release the lock — in one to two seconds. No. The key safe has no internal battery. It is powered entirely by NFC energy harvested from the authorized smartphone during the unlock — when there is no phone tapping it, the lock sits in a fully passive state. There are no AA or AAA cells to replace and no charging port to plug in. How does smartphone NFC actually open the key safe? When you hold an authorized phone against the NFC tap area, the phone transmits both a small amount of energy and an encrypted authorization token to the lock. The lock uses the energy to power up just long enough to verify the token against its authorized user list, then releases. The whole exchange takes less than a second. Can multiple people be authorized to open the same key safe? Yes. The owner adds authorized users through the NFC app — family members, guests, cleaners, agents, contractors, and so on.
