Download the KENRONE NFC App
The KENRONE app is the control centre for every lock — pairing, unlocking, logs and user permissions all live here. Install it before you start.
Before you begin: your smartphone must support NFC and have it switched on. Hold the top/back of the phone (where the NFC antenna sits) against the lock to power and read it.
1. User registration
Open the app and tap “Register”
Create your KENRONE account to start managing devices.
Enter your account details
International version: register with an email address only. Domestic version: a mobile number or email may be used.
Set a password
Password length must be 6–18 characters. Confirm to finish registration.
2. Login
Two ways to sign in — choose whichever is convenient:
Account & password
Sign in with the email/number and password you registered
Verification code
Request a one-time code sent to your email/number and log in without a password.
3. Add a device
There are two ways to pair a lock, and two account roles to understand.
Add directly via NFC
Tap “Add device”, then hold your phone against the lock. The app detects and binds it automatically.
Add by scanning a QR code
Convert the lock’s 18-digit device number into a QR code, then scan it in the app to bind.
Ordinary user adds a device
When a non-admin adds a device, the request must be approved by the administrator account before access is granted.
Roles & defaults
• The first account bound to a device becomes the administrator (full management permissions).
• With a 16-bit default factory key
• QR pairing requires the 18-digit device number converted to a QR code.
4. Device operation
Open a bound device to reach its operation screen. From here you control the lock and manage everything about it.
Lock / unlock
Tap to operate, then hold your phone to the lock to power the action.
Unlock logs
Admin sees the unlock records of all accounts; a user sees only their own.
Authorization management
Grant, review and revoke user access; share the device with friends.
Rename device
Give the lock a friendly name (management function).
Change 16-bit Key
Modify the initialization secret Key value (administrator only).
Unbind device
Remove the lock from your account when it changes hands.
Important — unbinding & keys

When an admin unbinds a device, all user accounts on that device are removed automatically. Unbinding does not reset the device’s initialization Key.

If you forget the initialization Key value, please contact the manufacturer — it cannot be recovered from the app.
5. Friends & sharing
Add a friend
From the main interface, add another KENRONE user as a friend.
Share device access
In the Friends interface, share access to a device you manage — ideal for temporary or team access without handing over admin rights.
6. System settings
Change account name
Update your display name.
Share feedback
Send suggestions or report issues to the team.
Update version
Check for and install the latest app version.
Change password
Set a new 6–18 character password.
Language settings
Switch the app interface language.
